Where to Watch Fireworks on 4th of July in Cape Coral
While watching the colorful July 4th fireworks curled up on a lawn chair or on a blanket isn’t a bad way to enjoy the birth of our country, there’s nothing quite like a front-row view, preferably while sipping on a cool drink and enjoying the show.
When it comes to celebrating the 4th of July, Cape Coral’s annual Red White and Boom event is one you don’t want to miss.
Cape Coral 4th of July
In Cape Coral, the 4th of July is a big event bringing the town together and celebrating this wonderful country. During the day, the community has a lot of entertainment from food trucks to different venders, colorful floats and live music all leads to the main event of the day; the firework show that happens just a few minutes after sunset on the Cape Coral Bridge.
Southwest Florida knows how to throw a party. At 9:30 p.m., the velvety black sky is delightfully invaded by a kaleidoscope of colors. Red White and Boom is easily the largest single-day event in sunny Southwest Florida. You can catch a glimpse of the stunning fireworks display as the area close to the bridge is blocked off in order to have a safe block party.
On America’s Independence Day, Cape Coral bridge is closed off to traffic as they shoot the fireworks from the middle of the bridge. The view of the show from Cape Coral Parkway is thrilling, but in case you don’t make it or just want to avoid the crowds, you can get a boat and enjoy the show from Caloosahatchee River. If you do manage to get a spot, remember to bring your own chair. No pets are allowed, except for service animals. You also cannot bring outside alcohol, but non-alcoholic beverages in coolers are okay.
Several exotic resorts surround the area, and you can get a front-row seat to the fireworks festivities from any of these locations. A room with a private terrace at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina is a great place to start. You can also visit Cruisers Lounge and enjoy fireworks from there.
